UBIQUITY
/
Hybrid, participative & dancing form · Creation Autumn 2026

, Emmanuelle Raynaut | AREP Cie & Maud Clavier

With a curiosity for details, Isabelle Jonniaux explores our urban spaces and lets her gaze and her thoughts drift. Tags, bins, signs, encounters:  so many elements that she brings to the stage to weave them into multiple narratives.

UBIQUITY signifies the ability to be present in multiple places at once. It's also the starting point for this immersive and participatory show, which interweaves stage writing, movement, and virtual reality. UBIQUITY takes the form of a contemporary ceremony, a pop-apocalyptic carnival that invites the audience to dance, literally, on the ruins of our civilization.

In a complex and fragmented world, where technology creates multiple realities, this project is precisely betting on including this technology at the heart of the device, to make it a lever of emancipation for the imagination and the body. The spectators are not simple witnesses, they truly enter the dance and become co-creators of the show.

The performance takes place in a 360° scenography. It is carried by five dancers and a live DJ. Occasionally, a group of spectators is invited to don a virtual reality headset. They are immersed in a parallel narrative, discovering destroyed worlds, where only a few traces of life remain, and which their movements will gradually revive and transform.
